On Journalist Day the multimedia television studio and editing room for practical training of students have been opened at the Cherkassy National University
Now the students can practically develop the student television, create professional TV news with the help of television journalism complexes, professional computers that can also be used for live broadcasting, sound equipment, FullHD video mixer, audio mixer and special studio light.
Anatoly Zabolotny, Director of Rinat Akhmetov's Charitable Foundation for Development of Ukraine said, "The main objective that Rinat Akhmetov, the founder, has set before the educational projects of the Foundation is to give to journalists modern knowledge in the field of multimedia journalism, as well to bring journalists training in the universities of Ukraine to the world leading standards in mass communications teaching. Today, opening this TV studio (by the way, this is the second studio of such kind in Ukraine, the first is in Zaporozhye), we again create opportunities for the application of these practices in our universities. During the last three years 30 teachers from 10 Ukrainian universities have already received training within the frame of the project "Digital media for universities". From now the students of ChNU can practically create professional TV news and programs both for Internet television and for conventional terrestrial television, in other words, to be competitive at the domestic market. "
Anatoly Kuzminsky, rector of Cherkassy National University named after B. Khmelnitsky said, "The most important thing that provides the educational project "Digital media for universities" is an opportunity for teachers to keep up with the times, namely to gain knowledge in the field of internet journalism and social media, which in future can be used in the educational process at the university. The opening of the professionally equipped television studio is a milestone event for our education establishment, students- journalists. We thank Rinat Akhmetov and hope for further cooperation within the educational programs of the Foundation for Development of Ukraine.
We remind that the project "Digital media for universities" was established in 2011. The aim of the project is to bring the training of journalists in Ukraine to the world leading standards of teaching of mass communications in order the future journalists, entering the Ukrainian labor market to be competitive and in- demand professionals. In November 2013, within the project, the Foundation opened the first multimedia television studio at the university television journalism laboratory of the Journalism Faculty of Zaporozhye National University.
